March Wrap-up and April Projects

March closed with three more finishes.  First was Elephant Baby quilt.

Can you see the lions, giraffes, and elephants?  I had so much fun using this panto-graph on the Elephant Baby quilt and I think that it looks wonderful.

The next two are Party of Nine and Traffic Jam – both wall-hangings from the  2021 Whatnots Club by Kim Diehl.

Last weekend I decided that it was time to get my leader/ender project off the wall and into a completed quilt top.

I have been piecing these blocks for a couple of years, but now it is done.  Yeah!  For a name I checked my list of Colorado ghost towns and selected Tuttle.  Don’t ask me why – it just seemed to fit for some reason.

Next up are a couple of piecing projects using a fat quarter bundle of brown, tan, gray & black.  Not spring colors, but a quilt pattern that I have wanted to make for a long time.

Have a good week,

Marlene

Applique & More Applique

Day 44 of 2022 with no fabric stash enhancement – does buying a kit count?  At this time I am just looking.

February is the month for baby quilts and the first top is completed.

There is always one that marches to a different beat, right?

The inspiration is this elephant quilt –

Anchored Living: Simple Applique Baby Quilts - Dinosaurs and Elephants

however I used the leftover elephants from this quilt.

Since I had my machine set up, I decided to finish the applique borders on the LBQ’s 2021 mystery Michigan.

I can’t even express how much I like this quilt and how proud/happy I am at the final result.  This one will be on my bed once it is quilted.

Now it is time to get started on the next baby quilt.  February is a short month, so I need to keep my focus on my goals.

Have a great week,

Happy Valentine’s Day
