Design Wall Monday 02-09-15

The Oriental Dreams quilt top is completed.

020915   (831x1024) I have enough of the red fabric for the binding which will add a nice touch to the edge of the quilt.  The background is more golden than the picture shows.

This top would have been finished sooner, but I have been organizing – and petting – my stash.  I have three new shelving units for organizing my fabric.

020915B   (684x1024)yardage washed, pressed and stacked by color.  This is going to be a long-term project – here is one of many piles that I need to sort and organize.

020915C   (941x1024)The one positive thing about all this organizing is that I have no desire to buy new fabric.  Now that everything is visible and accessible, I really think that I will be “shopping my stash” frequently this year.

The next projects are an Oriental Churn Dash UFO and to machine quilt another top.

    I agree with shopping my stash first this year. Getting organized really lets me see what I already have… and had forgotten about!! The red binding will look great on your quilt!
