Design Wall Monday 11-04-13

I have finished the quilt top made from Judy Niemeyer’s Cappuccino pattern.  Instead of 4 placemats and 1 table runner, I made a wallhanging which finished at 48 1/2″ x 49 1/2″.

110313 (1024x1020)I already have some quilting motifs in mind, so I plan to get this one quilted this week.  Since I have been piecing recently, I think it is time to do some machine quilting.

Check out all the quilt inspiration at Patchwork Times.

This is gorgeous. So far I’ve just collected the Judy Niemeyer patterns! Maybe one of these days I’ll jump in and make one of them. Every one I’ve seen is a a beauty.

What a great interpretation of the pattern! Sort of Escher-esque tessellation the way the fingers of one color decrease as the fingers of the other color increase.

I, too, have wanted to make one of Judy Niemeyer’s quilts, but so far have just looked. Yours as beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration!
